Key Issues
Taxes
Taxes must be closely reviewed to protect residents from unnecessary financial burdens. Our city must implement a more thorough evaluation system and streamline our government activities, to ensure that every dollar is used wisely—delivering essential services while avoiding unjustified tax increases. I want to implement a more transparent approach to government spending that promotes fiscal responsibility, and long-term community stability.
Safety
With crime rates rising across Washington, it’s more important than ever to strengthen our fire and police services. A safe community starts with a proactive local government that invests in public safety and ensures our first responders have the resources they need. By committing to strong, responsive emergency services, we can keep Ruston a secure and welcoming place for all residents.
Community-Building
Local government plays a vital role in bringing people together and strengthening the fabric of our community. By supporting neighborhood initiatives, public spaces, and relevant events, we can foster connection, pride, and resilience in Ruston. A government that listens, engages, and invests in community-building lays the foundation for a vibrant and united city.
